Whats the current development condition of SasqChart Posted: 09 Jan 2005 10:41 PM |
Sasqchart is currently in Pre-Alpha.
Weekly development continues, and feedback is most welcome on every aspect of the software
Definitions:
I originally worked in games, therefore use there standards of release. These are generally tighter than that of normal software development.
Pre-Alpha
The software is still in development. Its core is working, and its mostly complete however there may be major gaps. Its at this time that the largest changes can be made and that feedback is most useful, as feedback can change the way the system operates, add/change major features etc.
Alpha Version
A complete running version of the software containing all the major features of the software. It may have bugs, may do unexpected things, and will require more testing, tuning and polish. An alpha version will be usable and testable thought.
Beta Version
A version with all the finished elements of the software in and working. The Software is essentially complete.
Release Candidate (Game Submission)
This is the final stage before release. The product is considered to be complete and in a releasable state, and so long as nothing major happens - this is the version that will become the released version
Gold (Released)
The final version of the product |
